Managing Respiratory Diseases: an e-Learning series from FPM now live!

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new series “Managing Respiratory Diseases: an e-Learning series from FPM” a free, CPD-accredited e-Learning series which is now available on the NHS Learning Hub.

This comprehensive series is designed for UK healthcare professionals, including general practitioners (GPs), specialist doctors (especially those working in intensive care medicine, geriatric medicine, oncology etc.), and nurses.

Since November 2023, FPM has been developing these targeted modules to equip healthcare workers with critical knowledge on respiratory infections.

Course Overview:

• Module 1: Introduces some of the common themes and issues, including the definition and clinical presentation of acute respiratory infection, epidemiology and pathogenesis, seasonality and spread.
• Modules 2-4 delves into greater detail on Coronavirus, Influenza, and RSV. These modules include an investigation of the burden of disease, clinical presentation and diagnosis, management and treatment options, and guidance from the UK Government, NICE and others.

Financial support has been provided to FPM as a grant from Pfizer Ltd. Pfizer Ltd have had no involvement in the content development.
