Trainees Committee

The Trainees Committee represents the views of pharmaceutical medicine trainees within FPM and at external meetings. We are here to ensure that trainees have a fulfilling and productive training experience; to support FPM and other relevant bodies to improve the quality of the Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training programme, to promote pharmaceutical medicine as a career to future trainees, and raise awareness of the specialty.

What we do

Our main areas of focus are to:

  1. Advise the Education and Standards Committee on matters relating to specialty training in pharmaceutical medicine with particular emphasis on trainee issues
  2. Advise the Specialist Advisory Committee on Pharmaceutical Medicine (of the JRCPTB) on matters relating to specialty training in pharmaceutical medicine with particular emphasis on trainee issues.
  3. Facilitate communication between trainees and between FPM and trainees.
  4. Represent FPM on relevant external committees and groups such as the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’ Trainee Doctors Group.
