For this session of Journal Club we welcome our guest host Dr Nadine Abdullah.
Dr Nadine Abdullah has chosen to review:
Rifaximin-α for liver fibrosis in patients with alcohol-related liver disease (GALA-RIF): a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 2 trial.
About your host
A principal investigator at Celerion GB ltd, a phase I and first in human clinical research unit, where I take part in regulatory authorities’ applications, trial design and conduct, safety monitoring, and dose escalation decisions. Currently training in pharmaceutical medicine and has been in industry for over three years spent half of them in phase III.
I am based in Belfast, and tend to spend spare time cycling and reading Arabic novels.

They are a recognised way of keeping up to date with latest advancements in areas of interest.

If you attend this webinar you can use it as CPD for your appraisal. To do so you’ll need to provide:
- evidence (certificate of attendance), and
- reflection, specifically a couple of paragraphs on what you learnt, what effect it will have on your current practice and how it relates to Good Medical Practice.
Upload these into your portfolio and self-allocate your CPD points at 0.25 credits per 15 mins.
