We open the floor, and allow them to talk about their career, their passions, and the things that they believe are important to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine.

About the event

This event will be hosted by Dr Marc Watson FFPM with guest speaker Mel Lisney.

Marc is a Pharmaceutical Physician and Fellow of FPM. Marc lives with Bipolar Disorder and has long been an advocate for improving conversations around mental health, and removing the stigma that is often associated.

With ‘HOW TO LISTEN’ as our topic we will be covering various subject like:

  • Tuning into signs that someone might be vulnerable;
  • Initiating a supportive conversation,
  • Tips for active listening, and much more.

About Mel Lisney

Following a military career and 11 years in the Voluntary Sector, Mel has worked in the commercial training world for over 25 years, initially specialising in Leadership development and for the past 15 years, focusing on Personal Development and Emotional Wellbeing. She has worked with a wide spectrum of clients from the UN to start-up charities and has had the enriching experience of delivering Samaritans courses since early 2016.
