The FPM Annual Symposium is our flagship event which serves as a platform for discussing key issues and developments in the field of pharmaceutical medicine and related areas.

They include the harnessing of AI which, together with other novel technologies such as precision medicine and genomics, has enormous potential for gathering evidence, targeting treatments, and enhancing the patient experience, but also bring new risks and challenges.

We will explore how health systems around the world must adapt as chronic physical and mental health issues become more prevalent, reflecting upon pharmaceutical medicine’s vital role in understanding impacts and developing mitigations. We look at pioneering treatments to control the effect of infectious diseases on populations, and explore issues of equity and access, and the role of patients in co-designing the future of healthcare, all the time equipping delegates with relevant tools and knowledge.

This event is designed for a diverse audience, pharmaceutical physicians, scientists, patients, policymakers, and anyone interested in pharmaceutical medicine and healthcare.

This event is open to everyone including FPM members and non-members.

Although there is no dress code, it is advisable to dress in business-attire.

For attending the day = 6 points.

For attending the day and catching up on missed breakouts = 6 points + 1 point for every session watched on catch-up.

In-person delegates will be able to pick one particular stream to attend in the morning deep dive session (11:15-12:45) and another stream in the afternoon deep dive session (13:50-15:15).

Each deep dive session includes a 30 minute introduction, which then transitions into a 45 minute workshop.

Delegates attending online, will only be able to watch the morning and afternoon deep dive sessions taking place in the main auditorium (Wellcome Trust Lecture Hall). We will confirm the chosen streams closer to the time.
