In our Fireside Chat series, FPM welcomes inspirational speakers.
We open the floor, and allow them to talk about their career, their passions, and the things that they believe are important to advance the science and practice of pharmaceutical medicine.
Emma is a newly-freelance pharmaceutical physician, having stepped down from her role as SVP, Global Head of Medical Affairs at UK-based Biotech, F2G, at the end of December 2023.
A self-confessed Medical Affairs maven, Emma has worked in Pharma since 1999, across a range of therapeutic areas, from Big Pharma to small Biotech. She has built and led teams for many years, both nationally and globally. Emma is a Fellow of FPM, has been a Trustee at FPM and is also an appraiser for revalidation.
We are particularly excited that Emma has agreed to share her experiences. She is a strong advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), having established the EDI Forum at FPM with our Chief Executive, Dr Marcia Philbin. She brings first-hand experience of the challenges of trying to develop a successful career whilst also having a family, and has witnessed how women and carers are often side-lined because managers make inappropriate assumptions about their commitment and ability to deliver.
Emma is a mentor to a number of ex-colleagues who are navigating the same challenges that Emma faced in her career. This event offers an outstanding opportunity to benefit from Emma’s unique insights and by attending you will become a better and more well-rounded team leader and people-manager.
Bookings will remain open until 15:00 on 8 March 2024.
