Meet FPM's new Membership and Events Manager, Eleanor Kingwell-Banham
I’m very happy to have joined FPM as Membership and Events Manager. I have come along at an exciting time for FPM! The pandemic has spurred on some rapid change across the world, and FPM is no exception.
My background is in academia, in archaeology of all things. After 10 years of research at UCL, I decided it was time for a change and started working in a similar role for another professional membership organisation. I was immediately attracted to this job at FPM, however, because I had spent a few years looking at ancient herbal cures and spices as one of my projects. So I applied, and my gamble immediately paid off when I attended the first in our fascinating webinar series on PHEs.
Starting a new job in lockdown has been a strange experience, but everyone I have worked with has been excellent at adapting to the unusual circumstances we all find ourselves in. I’d like to thank all the FPM members, staff, committee and board members that I have met and worked with so far. I’m looking forward to working with everyone at FPM to further develop and expand the membership side of our operations.
