Our DPM Training Programme Wins Silver at the 2024 Association Excellence Awards

Posted on: Tuesday 12 November 2024

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our DPM Training Programme received a silver award for Best Learning/Professional Development Programme (up to 2000 members) from the Association Excellence Awards 2024.

The DPM Training Programme supports candidates preparing for the Certificate in Pharmaceutical Medicine and the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine exams. Hosted on the FPM Learning Hub, this flexible programme offers comprehensive, expertly crafted modules that allow participants to learn at their own pace. Each module is tailored to meet the rigorous demands of the exams, ensuring candidates have access to the highest quality resources to support their success.

This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in developing, delivering, and supporting our programme. A huge thank you to those who have contributed their time, expertise, and enthusiasm to make this programme a success.

I am thrilled to bits with FPM’s silver award from Association Excellence Awards 2024, which represents a meaningful recognition from our sector peers of the quality of the DPM Training Programme. The journey started in 2020 when Professor Alan Boyd gifted his DPM training programme to FPM and we worked with Dr Sharon McCullough to reshape the format and delivery of the programme. The success of the DPM Training Programme is a culmination of vision, collaboration and teamwork so I want to thank everyone who has been involved in helping us achieve this special recognition.

Here’s what the Association Excellence Awards 2024 judges had to say:

  • An example of successfully bringing training ‘in-house’ through a mix of external funding and own investment.
  • “The USP and benefits of the programme are well communicated.”
  • There is positive feedback from delegates, but most importantly, the programme has applied lessons learned where feedback has not been positive.”
  • Interesting example of an Association responding to an identified industry need and securing the required partnership and investment to produce a programme of training.
