Event FAQs

You will receive emails prior to each Plenary Lecture and Breakout Session with the access link to join. You will simply need to click on this link to take part.

Don’t forget to check your Junk folder!

You can also join all the Plenary Lectures and Breakout Sessions by clicking the “Join” links beneath each lecture/seminar title on the main Symposium webpage.

To join the first plenary lecture from the webpage you may have to sign in with your registered email address and access key. This will have been emailed to you. If you are having trouble finding it, please click “resend my access link” and follow the email instructions, or email events@fpm.org.uk and we will resend it to you.

Depending on your browser settings, you will not have to sign in again.

We are using Zoom for our Breakout Sessions and LiveStorm for our Plenary Lectures.

You do not need to download any software for either of these, and can access all events by simply clicking the link and joining via your browser.

Yes, you can dial-in to all of the sessions.

Dial-in information for each session appears in your 5 min reminder emails.

We would like to see everyone’s faces during the Breakout Sessions as it more sociable, interactive and helps us all to get more out of the sessions. However, if you feel uncomfortable sharing your video you can turn it off.

We do ask everyone to mute themselves when joining the Breakout Sessions to reduce feedback and background noise. You can unmute to ask questions or join in the discussions.

During the Symposium you may be asked to unmute or come onto video to ask the speaker a question (for example), but this is up to you.

Yes. All of our lectures and seminars are being recorded and will be available to you after the Symposium.

Plenary sessions: Attendees can access the replay by clicking on the access link from the confirmation/reminder emails/webpage.

Breakouts: We will email links to the recordings once they have been edited.

We will upload all of the recordings to our website in the week after the Symposium, and they will be available to all attendees. We will email everyone with the link and the password once this has been set up.

Both of these mailboxes will be closely monitored during the Symposium.

We have opened the (virtual) FPM cafe for the duration of the Symposium! You can join at any time via the Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. The password is the same as the password you need to access the event hub, which you will find in your emails.

We are also running 2 networking sessions during the Symposium.
