Join the Fellowship and Awards Committee and make a lasting impact!

Are you passionate about shaping the future of FPM and building our community? We invite you to join the FPM Fellowship and Awards Committee.

Applications are now open for three Fellows to join the Fellowship and Awards Committee of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM). This is a great opportunity to get involved in FPM activities, to work with other senior Fellows and to be directly involved in celebrating the achievements of pharmaceutical physicians across the world.

Who should apply?

We’re looking for passionate, committed individuals who:

  • are current Fellows of FPM in good standing
  • can demonstrate achievement in and strong commitment to the specialty of pharmaceutical medicine.
  • have strong intellectual and analytical skills, independent judgement and the ability to offer constructive challenge
  • enjoy collaborating in a team environment and are eager to support FPM’s Fellowship and Awards activities
  • are looking to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives

How will you contribute?

The Fellowship and Awards Committee meets once a year to consider all applications and nominations for Honorary and Fellowship, Honorary Membership and Membership by Distinction, the special awards and any others FPM may make. Committee members are required to:

  • Consider and approve or reject nominations for who should be admitted to Fellowship, Honorary Fellowship, Honorary Membership or Membership by Distinction
  • Consider and approve or reject nominations for the President’s Medal, the Volunteer Award and the Academic Achievement Awards
  • Support the process of reflecting on applications received and advise on efforts to remove barriers to application and other lessons to be folded into future recruitment

Applications for Fellowship are submitted early each year and the committee reviews, comments and scores them over a period of three to four weeks in April. Committee members will serve a three-year term of office commencing Tuesday 1 April 2025.

FPM welcomes and actively seeks to recruit people to its activities regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. FPM aspires to reflect the diversity of its members in all its committee, senior roles and staff in general.
