Calling all current trainees on Specialty Training in Pharmaceutical Medicine (PMST)!

Applications are invited for new members, including a new Chair, for the Trainees Committee of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM).

  • Do you want to contribute to policy issues relating to postgraduate medical education and training in pharmaceutical medicine?
  • Do you want to want to help facilitate communication between trainees and between FPM and trainees?
  • Do you have experience of attending, chairing and/or leading formal meetings within a professional environment?
  • Are you able to work constructively with a mixed team of volunteers, staff, subject matter experts and others?
  • Are you committed to the development and promotion of the specialty of pharmaceutical medicine?

If you are ready for a challenge and would like to be part of the modernisation of FPM, please consider applying for one of these exciting roles! There are a number of vacancies open, including the Committee Chair.

Applications are invited from current trainees on Specialty Training in Pharmaceutical Medicine (PMST). Trainees who have recently completed or are currently Out Of Programme are not eligible to apply.

  • a one-page cover letter (maximum one-page A4 size, approx. 500 words) clearly setting out how you meet the specifications and requirements for the role and why you are interested,

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a discussion about their application which is likely to take place the week commencing 9 December 2024.

Committee members, including Chairs, are expected to comply with our Code of Conduct for Volunteers and the Declaration of Interests Policy. These policies are available below, and you should read them before you apply as you need to be aware of the responsibilities of being a Committee member.
